Tamil Nadu Open University; TNOU as the name suggests is an open university which is known to be the first open university in Tamil Nadu. The university was established in the year 2002 by an act by the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. TNOU is a well-known university and offers distance learning programs all around the country. TNOU is globally recognized by the University of Grants Commission (UGC) and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
